What exactly is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a gift card or certificate issued by a participating store. SCRIP gift cards or certificates can be used to purchase groceries, books, clothing, home furnishings, automotive repair and supplies, dining out and much more.

How does Scrip work?
WWCS purchases gift certificates, or SCRIP, from many popular & local retailers at a discount. The percentage of the discount varies, but it is typically between 2% -10% of the purchase. Parents then buy the gift certificates from the school at face value. The difference in price is kept by the school. The profit is based on this difference and the generosity of the merchant or vendor. Parents spend the SCRIP at the retailers, where it's worth the full face value; in doing so they have helped the schools and haven't spent an extra dime. With each family’s participation, SCRIP is then an extremely effective fundraising program. The income generated by SCRIP is used for general operating expenses for Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

Why use Scrip?
Each WWCS family is required to purchase $3,300.00 of SCRIP yearly or buyout this obligation with an annual payment of $170.00. Spread the word…have your family and friends purchase Scrip on behalf of your family to help you meet and exceed this requirement; please make sure they note this on the "sponsor" line of the order form. Participation in this program is a vital part of your commitment to the Walla Walla Catholic Schools.

How do you get Scrip?
SCRIP can be purchased at both Assumption and DeSales school offices during normal school hours, using cash or check. You can also purchase Scrip online, reload cards, or use a portable scrip "Wallet" with shopwithscrip.com or via the Raise Right app, available in the Google Play and Apple stores. It is easy and helps us manage the program efficiently. The WWCS enrollment code is 92E7(AF21816

Special Orders
If you are anticipating a large purchase, appliance or computer etc., we will be happy to pre-order the amount of Scrip you may need.  This is the only way to guarantee that we will have esactly what you need in stock.  Pre-orders must be paid in advance. We order most national Scrip items from the Great Lakes Scrip clearinghouse.  You can visit their website at www.glscrip.com and see if there is something you’d like ordered for you.  Most special orders will be delivered in 3-4 days.  So, plan ahead whenever possible.
